- The Basics: What SSL Certificates are, how to generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request), and how to install and update your certificates before they expire.
- Types of Certificates: A look at single service/server SSL certificates versus wildcard SSL certificates, including when a wildcard is a good use case and what its limitations are.
- Automation with Let's Encrypt: How Let's Encrypt and ACME clients can automate your SSL certificate usage, how the process works, and some limitations and "gotchas" to watch out for with this free resource.
- Monitoring Best Practices: Suggested strategies for staying ahead of your SSL certificate renewals so you don't get the dreaded "Parents are getting errors on the SIS app" text message from district secretaries.
