Register for the upcoming MiSEN Education Series  "How do VLANs really work?"

on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, 9:00-10:30am OR 2:00-3:30pm

Open to all Michigan K-12 and Library IT Staff at no cost with Live Q & A

Learn about all things relating to VLANs. What are VLAN tags? What are 802.1q trunks? How did we get here? How do I configure this? All these questions and more will be discussed in this session.

This Education Series event will be a dual performance. It's been heard that some people have easier times to join in the morning, while others can join in the afternoon. You will have the opportunity to join one or both if you'd like.

This presentation/discussion will be led by Kurt K. Torok, MiSEN Network Integration Manager. He's been working with switches and VLANs for over 25 years and is ready to share some knowledge with you.

MiSecure offers open office hours every 2nd Friday of each month. Their concept is a laid-back friendly forum to ask questions on any security topic, or any other topics if time permits. MiSEN’s staff regularly attend these sessions as well to provide a holistic approach between security and network connectivity. Any topic welcome!
